This new DDR400 evolutionary technology allows for the smooth transition and investment protection between the older architecture and the speed ranges and the ever-expanding capacities of the new DDR realm. This technology transition effectively triples the memory transfer rate of the older PC 133MHz memory bus rate and yields an effective data bandwidth of 6.4GBps.
